Science of matter is what chemistry basically is, its composition, structure, properties behaviour and changes during the chemical reactions and interactions. The magnification levels are Microscopic level-Matter, Atomic level- electrons, neutrons and protons, Molecular level, Subatomic level-Quarks, Subatomic level-Quarks and the String level. “Central science” is another name sometimes used for modern chemistry as other natural sciences like biology; geology and astronomy are connected with physics.

Matter is also studied in physics, but it is science in quantities of matter and space, and it is governed by laws. Modern chemistry is not a physics branch, but a physical science branch, although it utilizes physics. Modern chemistry uses entropy and energy in relation to a chemical process to establish spontaneity of the processes. It demonstrates the properties and structure of matter as consequence of physical properties of the used chemical products and the interactions.

The main aspect, which separates chemistry from biology and physics as a science, is synthesis. Knowledge of science is required in chemistry for the designing and making a more complex substance. The resulted substances are analyzed for biological and physical properties. The transformations, reactions and interactions are studied and are the result between energy and matter or the different chemical substances.
